Pratibha Singh, an MBA turned medico, artpreneur, she recognised the good in the midst of the mayhem. Culmination of amalgamation of various versatile prodigy, she is working on something unsual, she first started her career as a teacher. To know the brain along with mind, she did mbbs followed by diplomas in psychological counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, now she has added the twist of art specifically painting as a part of therapy. For people who are facing the problems without even recognising it, they are living life as a weight, now she is working on a project where she is trying to find out the unexplored part of the brain where true hidden skills are present and by stimulation of those a person can perform better in a holistic manner.
Experiential Therapy is the term for this type of treatment. Ideally Science works in 5 steps; Identification of an issue is followed by a hypothesis, data collection, analysis, and conclusion in science. Her distinguishing feature is that she has firsthand experience working with people before going on to become a psychotherapist, which makes her unique in how she sees the problem. When a person is unable to express sentiments verbally, She assigns them to work on a blank canvas in order for them to unload the chaos in their heads and see what they were up against. Pratibha did her second exhibition in September 2022, which featured her own artwork as well as a few success stories of clients who have been rehabilitated.
Her artwork is one-of-a-kind because she is a self-taught artist, and she now advocates for the usage of any creative form to keep the mind calm. Mental health should always come first, no matter how hectic one’s schedule is, because “a healthy body is within a healthy mind.”
