From Personal Reflection to a Scalable Venture

The idea for Numoo HR didn’t originate in a boardroom or from a pitch deck—it came from a moment of personal reflection.

While navigating his own career transition, Palash experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to find roles that genuinely align with one’s experience, aspirations, and potential. That gap between great talent and the right opportunities sparked a deeper realization: the recruitment ecosystem was failing both sides.

A conversation with a former acquaintance, Sultana, Co-Founder of Numoo HR, became the catalyst. What began as an exchange of ideas soon evolved into a shared vision, and Numoo HR was born.

Leveraging years of industry relationships across marketing agencies and funded startups, Palash reached out to peers he had worked with before. Those early conversations turned into Numoo HR’s first paying clients, laying a strong foundation built on trust rather than cold outreach.

The Founder Behind the Vision

Palash Goorha currently serves as Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at Numoo HR, bringing with him a strong background in scaling technology-driven businesses.

In parallel, he also runs Spryb Digital, a digital solutions company that helps brands grow through integrated CRM systems, AI-powered customer support, and hyperlocal and brand marketing strategies. He is also an Entrepreneur in Residence at Ideate Lab, the startup accelerator and incubator at OP Jindal University.

His experience across technology, marketing, and operations gives Numoo HR a strategic edge in understanding both business needs and talent expectations.

What Numoo HR Does Differently

At its core, Numoo HR offers end-to-end recruitment solutions—with a crucial twist.

While the market is saturated with traditional recruitment agencies, Numoo HR uses a custom-built AI engine to filter and shortlist candidates, paired with experienced human evaluation to ensure cultural and contextual fit. This hybrid approach dramatically reduces the typical back-and-forth between recruiters, candidates, and employers.

The result is simple yet powerful:

  • Faster closures
  • Better-aligned hires
  • Less time wasted for clients and candidates

“Speed alone doesn’t solve hiring problems—clarity does. Our focus is on combining speed with accuracy, so roles are closed swiftly and correctly.”

Overcoming Early Challenges

One of the biggest challenges Numoo HR faced early on was candidate dropouts at the final joining stage—a common but costly problem in recruitment.

Instead of treating it as a transactional issue, the team chose to look at it from a human perspective. Candidates aren’t just résumés; they’re individuals dealing with uncertainty, personal priorities, and long-term career concerns.

By investing time upfront to understand candidate motivations, fears, and expectations—and ensuring honest, transparent communication—Numoo HR significantly reduced last-minute dropouts. This trust-first approach created better outcomes for both employers and candidates.

A Defining Leadership Moment

Like most startup journeys, Numoo HR’s path wasn’t linear.

After a strong initial start, the company went through a couple of slow months where closures dipped. Coming from a non-recruitment background, Palash found himself questioning his approach. Despite process tweaks and added resources, results didn’t immediately improve.

The turning point came during a guest lecture at OP Jindal University, where a leadership lesson deeply resonated with him—leading from the front, a principle he had long admired from the armed forces.

Palash stepped back into execution mode, personally taking ownership of critical roles and staying involved until they were successfully closed. That hands-on leadership reignited momentum, boosted team morale, and soon led Numoo HR to record its highest-ever monthly business.

Debunking an Industry Myth

One of the biggest misconceptions Palash strongly disagrees with is the idea that AI can replace human judgment in hiring.

“AI is a powerful enabler, but recruitment is ultimately about people—their aspirations, emotions, and context. Technology should support better decisions, not replace them.”

This philosophy sits at the heart of Numoo HR’s operating model.

Choosing Depth Over Speed

One early decision that proved transformational was prioritizing quality over rapid scaling.

Instead of chasing volume or aggressive expansion, Numoo HR focused on building strong internal processes, honest candidate conversations, and genuine client partnerships. This approach helped establish credibility early on and set the tone for sustainable, trust-driven growth.

Milestones That Matter

Among the many achievements, one moment stands out.

A client approached Numoo HR to build an entirely new vertical, requiring a 22-member team to be hired within just two weeks. Through meticulous planning, close collaboration, and a clear understanding of the client’s real needs, Numoo HR delivered—without compromising on quality.

For Palash, milestones like these aren’t just about numbers; they’re proof that thoughtful execution beats shortcuts.

Looking Ahead: The Next Five Years

Numoo HR’s vision is to become a trusted, multi-domain talent partner, moving beyond transactional hiring into long-term workforce partnerships.

Over the next five years, the company aims to:

  • Expand across multiple industries
  • Strengthen specialised and leadership hiring capabilities
  • Enter international placements to support cross-border talent mobility

All while staying anchored to its core values of trust, quality, and long-term alignment.

The Market Gap Numoo HR Is Solving

According to Palash, the biggest gap in recruitment today is the lack of depth.

Hiring has become a numbers game—focused on speed rather than understanding. Numoo HR counters this by blending AI-led filtration with meaningful human conversations, ensuring alignment from day one and reducing friction throughout the hiring journey.

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Palash leaves fellow founders with a grounded insight:

“You don’t always have to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes, the biggest opportunities lie in fixing what’s already broken. Refinement can be just as powerful as innovation.”
