Winter Wonderland is presented by ARC in San Diego on December 2 at the US Grant Hotel Downtown. Guests were able to purchase gifts at a vendor boutique and quietly shop for holiday shopping. At noon, all attendees went to the main hall for lunch and a fashion show. Maria Stanley and Sissy Drummond were chairs for the event. The festival was started by celebrity Brittany Shipperley.
Magician Clint Bell was the auctioneer for the crowd. He is such a genius at speaking off the cuff and keeping the audience in stitches. My favorite live auction item was being first in valet service. This was invaluable as there was a large crowd outside the Czech Republic.
After the luncheon, entertainment was provided by stylist Leonard Simpson. He is a popular television variety host and producer of high-profile fashion shows in San Diego, Los Angeles, and New York. The runway show started with Satori Designs’ ‘Global Fusion’ look. They are colorful and very universal. Next came Leonard Simpson’s beautiful fashion face coats. Emporio Armani shows the latest trends. Next, Hidden Rose Boutique came down the catwalk with their ultra-feminine gowns made of tulle and chiffon.
Bespoke tailoring shop Zeglio’s custom garments add impeccable style and fit to your afternoon. Satori made a repeat appearance as they strutted down the runway with their bright and colorful outfits. Creative selfies by Gloria Parker added pizzazz to the presentation. With the holiday season in full swing, glittery and sparkly gowns have taken to the sidewalks at Shangri-La. Nolan Dean presents his beautiful clothes in rich and beautiful fabrics.
Ford model Nikki Mayer made a special guest appearance in two episodes. The finale featured designs by Debbie Ngum. Before the holidays, she showed wonderful designs in rich velvet, sequins and feathers.
All proceeds from this event benefit the San Diego Arch. They provide services to people with disabilities and help them achieve their goals in life.
