The winning companies were selected from more than 1,200 entries based on a rigorous judging criteria. In the first round of judging, the priority was to review every aspect of the qualification, including customer validation, market appeal, problem scope, level of differentiation, clinical impact, clinical validation, ease of use and cost savings. In the second round, for the best-in-class song, the focus is on scope of the problem, level of differentiation, impact on target users, market appeal and level of validation. For the Rising Star path, the focus was on problem scope, level of differentiation, impact on target users, market potential, and level of validation.
The submission was evaluated by an expert the team of judges in the healthcare and VC industry, incl Dr. Daniel Kraft (CEO of Digital.Health), Beth Andrews (Chief Digital Health Officer, Dell Technologies Global Health and Life Sciences Alliances), Ursheet Parikh (Mayfield Fund Partner), I had Cynthia (Chief Strategy Officer of Xealth), Blake Wu (KTA partner), Punishment of Paranthamani (Chief Medical Director and Medical Partner, USMA Oncology of Genentech), Michael Roizen (Cleveland Clinic Chief Wellness Officer Emeritus) and Michael BloomMD (CEO of BeeKeeperAI), among 800 others.
The winners were announced at a party at Resorts World’s Zouk Nightclub during the annual HLTH Conference in front of 1,500 guests.
