Wild Hearts features a fast travel system, but it’s quite unusual as it depends on very strict factors that determine whether you can unlock a fast travel point or not. It all starts with the camps built around the Dragon Pits. The hunter’s tent, which acts as a fast travel point, is one of the buildings you can place in a camp.
Done and dusted, right? Throw on a hunter’s tent and you can travel as you wish. In Wild Hearts, it’s not that simple. The game does not allow you to build a tent in every Dragon Pit location. Nor does the game provide the best explanation of where to build Hunter’s Tent fast travel points.
In this guide, we’ll cover how to unlock fast travel points, where hunter tents are allowed, and how to fast travel in Wild Hearts.

How to fast travel in wild hearts

To fast travel to Wild Hearts, first open the map. Unlocked fast travel points are represented by the tent icon. Hover over one of these icons and tap the corresponding ‘Travel’ button – X on PS5, for example. You will instantly travel to the selected location.
How to unlock fast travel points in Wild Hearts

You will need to build a hunter’s tent in the Dragon Pits to unlock a fast travel point in Wild Hearts. These pits are regularly spaced around the map, represented by what look like smiley faces with fiery hair from afar. Enter the Dragon Karakuri menu when you are near the pit and select the hunter’s tent, then place it.
Now, here’s where things get a little complicated. You cannot build hunter tents in all Dragon Pits. Each pit has a different set of capacity stats covering specific elemental energies – water, fire, wind, etc. These dictate what you can build.
The Karakuri Dragon, be it a hunter’s tent, a campfire, or a field forge, requires a certain amount of one of these stats; otherwise, they cannot be built. You can check the requirements for each type of Karakuri Dragon by selecting the building in the Karakuri menu.

For example, a hunter’s tent requires 50 mineral/land stats. Not all Dragon Pits have the required stat 50, preventing you from building a hunter’s tent and unlocking a fast travel point in each Wild Hearts pit.
You can increase the power stats by upgrading the Dragon Pit, but fulfilling the requirement is a real drag and often not worth it when you can explore a little further and find a pit with basic stats that support a hunter tent.

Once you factor in the stat requirements, the fast travel system in Wild Hearts becomes much clearer, though the frustration of only having tents in specific locations never completely goes away.
