Many of us will end 2022 with celebrations that stretch into the wee hours of the New Year.
But when January 1, 2023 rolls around, we’re just as likely to return to familiar routines and habits—caffeine? – and even add some new resolutions, like taking a morning walk or eating healthier.
If so, there are several grocery chains, drugstores, and restaurant chains nationwide open for business on January 1, 2023.
But check the opening hours at your local store. Some will have modified hours and either open later or close earlier on New Year’s Day.
Also, with January 1, 2023 falling on a Sunday, for most federal employees, Monday, January 2, will be treated as a paid holiday. This means that post offices, government offices and banks will be closed on Monday.
