To demonstrate the consequences of an accident caused by drunk or distracted driving, the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad will conduct a mock drill at the Drillfield on Sunday, September 4, from 2 – 9 p.m.
The western Drillfield loop – between Davidson and Sandy Halls – will be closed to vehicular traffic during this time.
Ambulances, fire trucks, police cars and a life flying helicopter will be present during the exercise. The University and surrounding community may experience high levels of noise and activity from emergency personnel at the Drillfield during the exercise.
