UBS Group AG reshuffled its Asia-Pacific telecommunications, media and technology investment banking team, appointing new executives to replace a Chinese veteran as the deal in the world’s second-largest economy struggles to recover.
The Swiss lender appointed Tim McKessar and Axel Granger as APAC co-heads of the TMT advisory business, according to an internal memo. They will replace Patrick Tsang, an 18-year UBS veteran, who will focus on coverage and initiative for key clients across the region. A bank spokesperson confirmed the contents of the memo.
