Rakshita VR, affectionately called Rakshu by kith and kin, has a charismatic personality, befitting the qualities of a typical libra woman. Born on 16th May 2000, in Chitradurga, the fort city of Karnataka, she went to Jnana Gangothri Convent, Turuvanur, and Bapuji Public School, Chitradurga, for her primary and higher primary studies, respectively. She is now pursuing a bachelor’s degree at SJM College of Pharmacy, Chitradurga. She is the proud daughter of Late. Veeresh SV, a farmer, and Rekha CR, a homemaker. With a good command and eloquence she has developed over the years in Kannada and English, Rakshitha believed she had a vocation for the anchoring and voice-over profession and aspired to be an eminent anchor. When she entered college, she faced numerous predicaments, including a family bereavement, but her grit did not let her give up on her anchoring journey. She kicked off her anchoring career by hosting Mr. & Mrs. Karnataka, 2018, organized by RIHA Events, and became the anchor of the year, 2022, felicitated at “The RIHA Stars of India Awards, 2022. She has hosted over 200 events till now, including the popular ones – Kendasampige (Colors Kannada Serial), TATA Vehicle Launch, Hubli, and RIHA India, presenting ‘Raja Namana’ in Chitradurga. Unsurprisingly, this talented anchor is a foodie and a wanderlust who loves reading and writing along the way. A strict vegetarian, Raksha can dive in, at any time, on her favorite comfort food, the ‘Bisi Bele Bath.’ Not to mention, she loves ‘Masala Dosa’ too. She is a classic movie buff who admires actors Darshan and Sushanth Singh, while her favorite actresses include Rachitha Ram and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She keeps humming the songs of her treasured singers, Vijay Prakash and Shreya Ghoshal. Blockbusters Charlie 777 and KGF are her favorite movies. She can watch any time.
