Cornish company Celtic & Co has donated more than £3,500 to charities this Christmas.
Ethical fashion movement, Celtic & Company, has raised funds for those most in need this Christmas.
The Cornwall-based natural sustainable fashion brand has donated over £3,000 to Newquay Foodbank, £500 to Little Harbor Hospice, and £80 to Save the Children.
Earlier this month, the Packet reported that Celtic & Co’s parent company, Refined Brands, had also taken over Helston-based children’s clothing company Froggy.
Zoe Bray, Managing Director of Celtic & Company, said: “I am extremely proud of our team leading the charity this year.
“The money for Newquay Foodbank and Little Harbor Hospice was raised from alternative Black Friday promotions which, rather than heavy discounts, focus on supporting families in our area who are struggling with illness or cost of living.
“Our annual office Christmas jumper day, supported by donations from employees and the company, also helps Save the Children’s work in the UK and around the world to give children in need the future they deserve.”
Sam de Lange from Newquay Foodbank said: “Companies like Celtic and Co. are what small communities need to not only survive but thrive. Also, Celtic & Company do a huge amount to help the community by providing jobs and we are incredibly grateful for their support.
“This £3,000 could not have come at a better time and will go towards our Christmas appeal, which will help everyone in our community to have a proper meal on Christmas Day.
“We’d like to thank everyone who shopped on Black Friday and helped raise this incredible amount.”
