As 2022 drew to a close, it’s safe to say that technology had secured a foothold in law firms, thanks to pandemic-driven pillars to support remote work, increased demands from clients for greater efficiency and innovation, and more. Growing economic pressures and the fear of an impending recession will have a significant impact on the tools firms choose, what they expect from them, and how they use them. The days of experimental spending and jumping on the latest trend are gone—at least for now.
