Gordon Ford College of Business (GFCB) has been selected for the Soft Immersive Skills Grant by Bodyswap and Meta. GFCB will receive two Meta Quest 2 headsets and access to the Bodyswaps Library of soft skills training simulations. Virtual reality headsets and modules will enable students to experience realistic workplace scenarios and training in communication and public speaking, employment and job interviewing, diversity, equality and inclusion, management and leadership and customer experience.
“We recently added career preparation classes to our business requirements,” said Dr. Evelyn Thrasher, Senior Dean of the Gordon Ford College of Business. “We will incorporate virtual reality training into those courses. As students complete the Bodyswaps training, we will continue with personal assignments to assess student progress.”
In the fall of 2022, GFCB underwent a revision of the business curriculum. This review has allowed GFCB to integrate professionalism and student success throughout a student’s academic experience.
