Mike Reckowsky, director of industry relations at Purdue Polytechnic, says companies that sponsor students’ capstone projects receive working prototypes that address real-world problems. Industry sponsors also build relationships with professors and qualified students to become future members of their workforce. The bi-semester student-led projects are showcased during the Tech Expo, an event that showcases our students’ innovative solutions to challenges given to them by their sponsors. Mike also tells us how he became the coach of the Purdue Rifle Team and the new orator for Purdue’s commencement ceremonies.
