STATEN ISLAND, NY — The halls of Staten Island Technical High School became a winter wonderland on Friday. Director Mark Erlenwein and his staff sought to deliver a festive send-up for the winter holidays, and what resulted was ‘Merrymania’.

“This is my 25th year working here at Staten Island Tech…” Erlenwein said. “Thinking about everything we’ve been through as a community, over the last three to four years with Covid, coming out of Covid and coming back, we’re finally back. I feel like everything is finally where it used to be. A little different, but better in some ways. I just wanted to continue doing something more special for the students. These kids work really hard. My motto, knowing how hard they work, is that we’re going to work hard, but we’re going to play hard. When they work hard, they really work hard.”
