It follows Paramount Network’s “Yellowstone” star Kevin Costner and the violent world of the Dutton family, who control the largest ranch in the United States.
The show is currently very popular, influencing the fashion world.
Katrina Kladis: “People love this show. You want to relate to it, so ‘How can I elevate my style?’ And now the easiest way to do it is in the ‘West Core’. ‘Western Core’ is a cowboy-inspired outfit to fit into your everyday lifestyle.
Even the famous ones are heading west. Everyone from Beyoncé, Emily Ratajkowski, Harry Styles to Katy Perry is all over it.
Stylist Katrina Kladis of Sugar Sequin Vintage knows all about the trend and shows us how to wear it at the gorgeous Elser Hotel in Miami.
Katrina Cladis: “Your shirt can have a frame detail, so you instantly have that ‘western core’ style, and you can even wear a plain colored dress and add a ‘western core’ belt, and you’re instantly feminine western.”
Now, you don’t have to go all out like you do on the show. Remember, keep it simple. We live in Miami, after all.
Katrina Kladis: “You don’t have to wear boots, add a hat, or wear a full ‘western core’ outfit.”
But you can jazz up your outfit with some country western detailing, or ditch that denim with denim. A bolo tie or funky necklace adds a lot of fun.
