South Korea’s technology industry is now more pessimistic about consumer demand than it was during the pandemic, with the outlook for confidence seen falling to its lowest level in seven years.
Data released Friday by the Bank of Korea showed the outlook among electronics, display and communication equipment businesses fell to 61 for February. If the actual business result matches the forecast, it would be the lowest reading since February 2016 when the business survey index reached 59.
