With Thanksgiving, Christmas is not far away. Which means a lot of shopping on Black Friday and, this weekend, Small Business Saturday.
The latter is about celebrating, embracing and supporting the small local businesses that make our communities so much more unique. Such businesses are slated to be highlighted in both Vacaville and Fairfield.
From 10am-4pm Saturday, head to Journey Downtown in Vacaville and start taking care of your growing Christmas list. Expect more than 30 vendors to offer a variety of goodies and photo opportunities with Santa and Princess Elsa.
If you’re one of the first 200 shoppers, grab a free bag. And, try for one of the many raffle prizes.
Stop by Rise and Redemption for an event map.
In Fairfield, the city is partnering with American Express and Boss Con to host a vendor market pop-up.
The event is set for noon to 6 p.m. in downtown Fairfield on Texas Street between Madison Street and Jefferson Street.

Many more events are planned across the county, so keep an eye out for them.
Or, just wander Solano’s towns and hit up the local shops—now’s the time to get up close and personal with the retailers you’ve been meaning to visit, but maybe haven’t had a chance to yet.
