During the pandemic and associated lockdown, many South Africans are struggling to afford basic items, from soap and sanitizer to toiletries, which are critical to preventing the spread of Covid-19. New digital gift vouchers make it easy to send money for essential toiletries, health care services and over-the-counter medications to those who need them most.

“We want to provide our customers with a safe and secure way to support their friends, family and vulnerable communities during these difficult times,” said Rachel Wriglesworth, Clix’s chief operating officer.
“With social distractions, our digital gift vouchers are more than convenient – they’re responsible. They can be purchased online and sent directly to someone’s cell phone in minutes, without leaving your home or standing in line – and you can send help even when you can’t reach them in person.
Click Digital Gift Vouchers can be used to access primary health care services at any of the 195 Click Clinics in South Africa. Early detection and treatment of chronic lifestyle diseases can be lifesaving, especially during epidemics.
When you buy a digital gift voucher, your chosen recipient – anyone with a local cell number – will receive a voucher code via SMS, which can be used instantly at the nearest Clicks store. This makes it possible to send help in an emergency or even give a special occasion gift (no physical gift card required).
Digital gift vouchers are available on the Clicks website or from the Clicks app. Anyone can shop to pay in the store, either as a registered user or as a guest.
Choose from denominations set between R50 and R1,000 or choose the exact amount you want to give starting at R50. Pay by credit or debit card, or via EFT. There are zero fees, and vouchers are valid for three years.
