Rogalla’s Choose & Cut Christmas Trees uses the family business to help other families find the perfect tree

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Having been in business for nearly four decades, Rogalla’s has plenty of experience helping people find the right Christmas tree. Where the atmosphere has never changed.

“You can just feel the happiness,” says Dan Rogalla, Owner of Rogalla’s Choose and Cut Christmas Trees. “People come out here, come out, run, some people will spend three or four hours here. They have to look at every tree, they can roam around.”

Rogalla’s has hundreds of trees available for people to come and cut. Farms have available 12 different types of trees, such as frasers, firs, pines, and more. Providing many options for people to choose from.

“We love it,” says Wausau resident Curtis Cooley. “It’s pretty good all around, no big open areas, area between things hanging ornaments so they don’t lay on the next row of branches.”

It’s one thing to find the right Christmas tree for you, it’s another thing to find the right place for it.

“We had that discussion just a few steps ago,” Cooley says. “We’ll put it in the kitchen room we have.”

Rogalla’s is a family business, with Dan working with his wife, daughters and even grandchildren to keep things running.

But as the family business has been around for decades, so have its loyal customers.

“Someone came out here a few years ago and brought their six-year-old son. They came out and said well, we don’t live here anymore, but we had to because when I was six years old, my parents took me out here,” says Rogalla.

It’s a time-honored tradition that has brought many smiles during the holiday season.

“This is something we have to do every year,” Cooley says. “We usually go on Thanksgiving week, sometime around that week.”

“We’ve been doing this for a long time and hopefully we’ve made a lot of good memories in the community,” says Rogalla.

All trees in Rogalla are the same price at $30 each. They also offer free horse rides to all children who stop by.

The farm is located at 2004 N 60th Ave in Wausau. For more information about the farm, click here.
