Styled by Jahlil Weaver, who has worked with Rihanna for many of her memorable looks, the singer’s all-red ensemble is Super Bowl halftime show It was custom-designed by Lowe’s. According to the brand, it drew inspiration from “flying gear and the dynamic scene of the show.”
The multi-layered collection consists of a bold red cat as the first layer, a made-to-measure corset in sculpted leather and a matching cotton canvas flight suit. The suit was cinched below her waist, exposing her. Baby swelling. She completed her look with a pair of red sneakers and gloves paired with a leather sweater by Alaia.
For the finale, she slipped into another Alaia piece, a red leather maxi puffer coat with matching gloves. This custom-made puffer looks very similar to the red sleeping bag coat once worn by the late fashion icon Tally. Talley’s Instagram account acknowledged the credit by posting a side-by-side photo of Talley and Rihanna in these look-alike ensembles.
“When the sun rises, we shine together. I told you I’ll be here forever… I’ll always be your friend. @badgalriri 🎈,” he wrote.
