The era of business casual attire may be on its way into the workplace. As explained in wealththe idea of what constitutes professional attire changed enormously as most people worked from home.

Suddenly people were able to prioritize their personal comfort or style. But even with many now returning to the office, employees aren’t ready to simply go back to the way things were. So many employees are designing clothes that can meet the needs of any occasion.

In this new work style, called the “hybrid wardrobe,” jeans, shorts, sneakers, and T-shirts are all becoming fair game for the office. Part of this is due to employees still wanting to maintain the convenience and flexibility of the look they could enjoy while working from home.

Being remote really made people stop and examine many habits and why they were considered necessary to be productive. More formal wear is one of those choices that workers question.

However, another aspect of this change is just the personal finances of the worker. You used to have your professional side and your casual side and both had completely different styles.

But with the price of everything going up, people are suddenly much more careful about what they spend money on.

As a practical matter, it becomes harder to financially justify having two separate closets to maintain. So instead, many are looking for outfits that can fit in the office as well as when they’re done with work and want to go out with friends.

This does not mean that all casual business habits have completely disappeared. But instead of a button down shirt with slacks and shoes, the same shirt can be paired with some nice looking jeans and sneakers.

For women, they can replace the blouse with a plain blouse and pair it with a blazer. Workers are looking for clothing that is not only more comfortable, but also transferable in fashion to different aspects of their lives outside of work.

If you think this style may be too relaxed for you, you may end up meeting what some in it wealth article did, where their formal wear suddenly made them stand out in the office as those who were no longer in style.
