Al Reed will be the first to tell you that he is a disruptor.
From selling recycled boxes with ACE Hardware to repurposing batteries, Reed’s entire professional career has been focused on finding gaps in a given industry and paving a way forward.
“The price of used cars has skyrocketed,” Reed said. “It is difficult to get parts, or used parts. Alternators, motors, batteries, everything. People are looking for ways to make things last a little longer.”

With the help of AI technology and the creation of a time-tested formula, Reed claims to have created the best refurbished battery in the world.
But you don’t have to go to Pensacola to get the juice anymore. You can now find it at your nearest Walmart or on Amazon.
“My main focus for 2023 is that I am now offering franchise opportunities nationwide, as well as launching my new products online,” Reed said. “You can get a gallon of my formula for $59.99, or a quart for $19.99.”
Onsite, from the moment you pull into the parking lot at Battery Guyz in Pensacola, a crew member will be ready to help — even Reed himself.
“We’ve been so blessed by the Pensacola community,” Reed said. “It has been a blessing. I have people coming back to tell me how long their battery lasted. It’s all about the process and its implementation.”
Reed’s entrepreneurial spirit landed him on ABC’s “Shark Tank.” Although Reed’s segment did not air, he returned to Pensacola with many things that would help him expand his business.
“They suggested I offer franchise opportunities,” Reed said. “Mark told me to contact vendors and Lori wanted me to focus on my online presence and product. I did everything.”
And with that, Reed went right to work. But little did he know that he had caught the attention of another TV show.
“The producers of ‘World’s Greatest!…’ contacted me earlier this year,” Reed said. “My experience with ‘Shark Tank’ helped prepare me for the process. I went through two rounds of interviews and was finally selected for a film.
Reed’s segment will air on Bloomberg Channel at 2pm Central on December 31st and again on January 23rd at 1:30pm Central.
