WAXED, located at 434 William Street, is a company offering full body waxing and eyelash extensions and more, recently opened downtown.
“We do full body waxing everywhere from Brazilians to butt, chest, eyebrow shaping. And we also do eyelash extensions, eyelash lifts, tinting, eyebrow lamination,” said Mindy Day, the owner.
Day, of Williamsport, decided to start the business after seeing a need in the community.
“I did some research and found that there is no one who specializes in waxing. Downtown Williamsport is up and coming, there’s so much going on down here. So we went for it.” said the Day. “I really wanted to be in this environment. I wanted to be downtown.”
WAXED has a crew of trained and certified specialists for every service.
“Aundrea, she’s been doing eyelashes for a few years now. She is excellent at facial waxing and is certified in eyelash extensions.” said the Day.
“Jen is our full body wax expert. Jen does Brazilian waxing. This is an intimate service. So she had specialized training.”
The store also offers a selection of locally made accessories.
“Almost everything there has local female artisans. I am very passionate about women entrepreneurs. This is a perfect opportunity for them to show off some of their stuff,” said the Day.
“I love it. Like First Friday traffic. People walking by and waving. Just being a part of the energy and the world down here is just super rewarding.” said the Day.

“The best thing is that you can book your service,” said the Day. “So through our Facebook and Instagram, there’s now a book. So you can literally book now. You can lie in bed at 12, be like, oh, I really need an eyebrow wax. Click book now and schedule your appointment. I would say 95% of our customers book theirs. People love the luxury of being able to do it themselves.”
