The Nasdaq 100 index rose to a new bull market on Wednesday for the first time in nearly three years as traders piled into technology stocks and anxiety about easing recent banking turmoil.
The tech-heavy gauge ended trading up more than 20% from its Dec. 28 close, powered by big rallies in megacaps Apple Inc., Microsoft Corp. and Amazon.com Inc.
