MIAMI – The Miami Northwestern Bulls hit the practice court Monday ahead of their big game in Orlando this weekend.
A recent social media post has been making the rounds and is in the spotlight, calling out the school’s athletic director Andre Williams.
Many are wondering why Northwestern’s football team, of all the programs in the state, is allegedly saddled with multiple trips before and after their big game in Orlando.
There are questions about where the rest and recovery time is for student athletes who would essentially be close to a 24-hour day.
Northwestern will play Jones High School, a highly anticipated game.
Over 14,000 tickets have reportedly already been sold at $15 a pop, and a portion of the sale was supposed to go to the football team to provide adequate bus transportation and lodging.
Local 10 News reached out to Williams but did not hear back.
Local 10 News’ Alex Finnie spoke with students Monday who did not want to be identified but stand behind the allegations.
Meanwhile, the school district confirmed they are looking into the allegations surrounding Williams, the game and the football program.
