Adelaide startup Splozz has raised $1 million as it looks to expand globally for its healthcare practice management platform.
In the year Launched in 2018 as a website developer at the request of allied health professionals, Splooz quickly identified the challenges providers faced when trying to support participants and manage their obligations in the NDIS.
The startup then developed software that automates practice management, replacing the decade-old software used by many vendors in the market. Splozz features include invoicing automation with Xero, online forms and service agreements, progress memo and report writing tools, scheduling support, travel support and more.
The South Australian government raised $100,000 to develop the concept. Splozz went on to quadruple its market share in 12 months and is predicted to have 10,000 monthly active users by the end of 2023. The business now has 10 employees with Stone & Chalk working at Lot Fourteen.

Splozz equates to around $30,000 a year in savings on average 10 hours a week in administration.
“Participants often spend months waiting to be approved into the NDIS. When Participants are approved, we help suppliers automate the process. Online service agreement templates and case management tools to accurately allocate and maximize NDIS funding across the scheme,” he said.
“Improving provider cash flow is critical to retaining staff and supporting participants, so developing group billing capabilities and automating bulk payment requests for NDIA are some of our key features.”
Speaking on the Startup Daily show, Sanderson said the cash injection will provide enough runway for the next 18 months as the business begins to focus on its global strategy alongside supporting the NDIS.
SA Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science Dr Susan Close said Sploz identified a key gap in the market.
“Their product is designed to ease the administrative burden for both healthcare providers and the patients they care for,” she said.
“Congratulations to Splooz and company founder Nicholas Sanderson for their vision to create better systems for people accessing shared health and disability support services and social and economic outcomes.”
