Ant-Man Star Evangeline Lily revealed that Marvel Studios has never interfered with her political views.
Appearing in Happy Sad Confused podcast, toThe Marvel actorspoke highly of the studio giving him the freedom to keep his professional and private life separate.
“They are very respectful,” Lilly continued. “In fact, I’ve had direct conversations with them that I’ve encouraged them and they’ve always said, ‘That’s not our business. It’s not for us to tell you how to live your life or what opinions to have.”
And I actually got a really supportive call from Peyton Reed at one point and he just said, ‘Just so you know, there are some rumors going around that Marvel is firing you or canceling you. And that didn’t come from Marvel, and that didn’t come from us, so just ignore it.”
Previously, lost the star came under fire for her anti-vaccine support. In January 2022, the 43-year-old participated in an anti-vaxx march in Washington, DC, to support her “body sovereignty movement”.
She also took to social media to voice her anti-vaxx stance, saying: “I believe that no one should be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of violent attack, arrest or detention without trial, loss of employment, homelessness, hunger, loss of education, alienation from loved ones, ex-communication from society… under any threat whatever”.
Lilly’s last movie for Marvel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is currently showing in theaters and has received mixed reviews.
