Announcing the Bay College and LSSU Business Professionals Regional Chapter of America’s annual “Warm Coats for Warm Hearts” campaign, which collects coats for those in need in Delta County.
This student-led campaign runs for two weeks starting Monday, November 21str – Monday, December 5th. Collection boxes are located throughout Delta County at participating businesses: Elmer’s County Market, Pat’s Foods IGA (Gladstone), Culver’s (Escanaba), Ashley Furniture Homestore (Escanaba), 5 Corners Market, and at Bay College – Escanaba Campus in HUB during business hours.
“Being a BPA member and being a part of this campaign is a way for us to give back to the community that supports us,” says Autumn Morgan, Bay College student pursuing an Associates in Social Science and BPA member. “BPA is a national student organization that is based on three pillars: community service, leadership and workplace skills development.”
At the end of the two weeks, these coats will be distributed to Tri-County Safe Harbor, the Salvation Army and low-income families at Sand Hill Townhouses. Any size coat or other winter clothing such as scarves, gloves, hats, snow pants from babies to adults are also welcome. While new items are preferred, lightly used items are appreciated.
