A local Loveland business owner has taken her interest in baking and shared it with the community.
Cynthia Newt is the owner of Cyd’s C-Rollers, a cinnamon roll business that she has run for almost two years.

Cynthia Newt, who previously worked at Johnson’s Corner in Johnstown, said during the pandemic she became interested in making her own bread, an interest that turned into making her own cinnamon rolls.
But after being fired, she decided to engage in her new business.
“I (thought) my chances are better if I do this,” she said. “That’s how it all came.”
She said that when she started in February 2021, she would sell her cinnamon rolls, or C-Rollers, in front of stores on weekends, trying to get people interested in her product. With a homemade sign she printed, she sold it to anyone looking for a delicious treat.
“I was so excited when she started,” said Brian Newt, Cynthia’s husband. “I’m behind it 100%.”
Brian also helped her create her first molds to make the heart shape that the C-Rollers are baked into.
Eventually, she began making the rounds of various businesses selling her cinnamon rolls to employees around town. She said this has gone down well as she builds a loyal group of adoring fans.
“I have people who buy from me religiously and get mad if I don’t show up,” she said with a laugh.
Now, Newt makes her own heart-shaped cinnamon rolls out of Artisans Kitchen in downtown Loveland before selling to customers online or at local businesses. Newt spends several hours several nights a week baking her cinnamon rolls with “the finest quality ingredients,” making about 150 cinnamon rolls each time.
But, she said that her heart-shaped sweets are not only in the shape of love.
“I put a bunch of love into them,” she said of what makes her C-Rollers unique. “Honestly, I’m very blessed, I thank God that I can do it and people want to eat them. I never expected the reaction I got.”
