If you didn’t watch it Love Island Season 8 Realtime I feel so sorry for you. What’s it like to miss out on the heated fights, blossoming romance and charred pasta between two of the most legendary finds in reality TV history, Ekin-Su and Davide? As prominent islanders and eventual season winners, Ekin-Su and Davide breathed new life into a series that was very much on life support. Not only were they embraced and adored wholeheartedly on Twitter, but the British public had their backs – the couple won Love Island from a landslide, with 63.7 per cent of the public vote, with runners-up and house haters Gemma and Luca coming in with 14.5 per cent. Now, ITV2 has fully pledged its allegiance to Ekin-Su and Davide, in the form of a new travel show with the pair as presenters.
There really is nothing on this earth that could make me happier than watching Ekin-Su and Davide bicker and make out while feeding each other in different places, and the self-proclaimed Italian stallion and Turkish cutie will start the traveling show by getting up. their respective homelands.
“We’re going on a road trip to Italy and Turkey – so a week in Italy and a week in Turkey,” Davide revealed during an interview with The Big Breakfast. “We’ll be on ITV2, so it’ll be like our programme.”
“It’s going to be all real, you know, fighting and I’m going to cook for him, he’s going to cook for me,” Ekin-Su said. “It’ll be like two cultures…” “Meet the family,” Davide added.
ITV2 has yet to announce when production will begin on what is sure to be reality TV gold, but in the meantime, Ekin-Su and Davide announced their plans to live together. “So basically, we’ve decided to move together, it’s confirmed,” Ekin-Su said in the Lorraine. “It’s official and we’re thinking of moving at the end of September, probably to Essex, where I’m from.”
She continued: “Davide hasn’t been to Essex and I feel like it’s really nice because it’s so close to London, it’s easy to travel to, a bit of countryside but then also a bit of that excitement about it. But I’m very, very excited about it.”
Along with relationships and television milestones, Ekin-Su also won the biggest brand partnership Love Island story after leaving the villa. Reportedly worth £1m, her deal with Oh Polly smashed the previous record set by Molly-Mae Hague, who is now the creative director of Pretty Little Thing. As she famously said during her stay at the cottage, “I’m Ekin-Su, baby, and there’s only one of me.”
