The Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center is hosting the Kona Mālama ʻOhana Health Fair from 2-6pm today, Saturday, August 20th. This family-friendly event will be hosted by Da Braddahs and will feature live entertainment, fun games and giveaways, free COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, and opportunities to talk stories with local medical and social service providers.
The Mālama Ohana Health Fair is at the Kealakehe Pavilion, 74-5214 Keanalehu Dr. in Kailua-Kona.
Organized by the Hawaiʻi State Department of Health and community-based organizations, the purpose of the Kona Mālama ʻOhana Health Fair is to share information about health and Covid-19 while also getting the community out to enjoy a fun afternoon together.
“It’s been a long pandemic, but this is an opportunity for people to come together, get valuable health information, get their Covid questions answered and have a good time,” said Tellie Matagi from the Department of Hawaii State Health.
The Mālama ʻOhana Health Fair will include free vision tests, blood pressure screenings, glucose screenings, free bentos, gas card giveaways, keiki slipper giveaways, free COVID-19 testing and vaccinations and more provided by the following organizations:
