Keizer University Vice Chancellor Robert Keiser, Ph.D., MBA, has been named among the 2022 honorees of the South Florida Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 awards.
The award recognizes 40 outstanding professionals under the age of 40 based in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties for their leadership, business success and contributions to their communities. Hundreds of nominations are received each year for the award, which highlights some of our region’s most entrepreneurial and influential young leaders.
Keizer joined Keizer University in January 2021 as Vice Chancellor of the Graduate School. In this role, he manages graduate school operations at Keizer University’s 21 campuses throughout Florida and two international locations overseeing more than 100 faculty and staff. He previously served as Executive Director of Southeastern College, responsible for managing the school’s five campuses in Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Under his leadership, the Keizer University Graduate School has expanded its degree offerings to include academic programs that address workforce shortages in many of Florida’s critical and emerging industries. In May, Keizer University announced a new Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree that aims to address Florida’s nursing shortage in women’s health. The new program is the only women’s health master’s program offered in Florida and comes at a critical time as the state faces a shortage of nearly 60,000 nurses by 2035 according to the Florida Hospital Association.
Also in May, the Keizer University Graduate School announced a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Homeland Security aimed at increasing DHS’s workforce in key areas related to national security and other relevant homeland security missions.
In addition to his commitment to improving lives through education, Keizer is dedicated to improving the lives of those around him through charitable work. His previous partnerships and contributions of volunteer hours and resources include All-Saints Soup Kitchen, American Diabetes Association, March of Dimes Foundation, First Tee, American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Foundation and Soldier Rush.
In September 2021, the South Florida Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named Keizer among the 2021 recipients of South Florida’s 40 Under 40 Outstanding Young Professionals Award.
