“I’m so happy to be here,” Aliette designer and Hollywood stylist Jason Rembert said as he previewed the first resort collection. Approaching the collection, the designer wanted to deliver a sense of fun and excitement with resort glam embroidery, party-ready silhouettes and rich red, blue and metallic color lines.
“I’m very happy that this color is important to me,” he said. “I am so grateful to work with the most amazing women who support and guide me. It’s not just the women that I style. As a designer, as a stylist – the women I work with in my PR teams, editors and advertisers, girlfriends and daughters. I think my daughter will give me the use of color – she’s five. She’s still seeing things creatively, not ‘the way things should be or the way they are’, which is very inspiring.
Resort pointed out a lot of innovation in this vein with new printed dresses and separates for day, as well as party-oriented looks, like a ruffled fox or racerback babydoll dress with white lace – a new innovation in the line.
Every look in the collection offers the right amount of support and versatility to wear while offering a holiday-focused appeal. For example, a resort-length red dress updated with tulle for effortless appeal, or the collection’s festive feathered bustier tops, look just as flattering as a pair of jeans with the brand’s vegan leather mini skirt.
Ahead of his spring 2023 show for New York Fashion Week, Rembert’s debut resort collection was strong with just enough texture and a playful glam attitude to evolve.
