FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – High school students have the opportunity to explore future careers in engineering, computer science and technology through a new program at Indiana Tech.
In conjunction with the school’s STEAM Academy youth program, Indiana Tech is launching the Career Explorer Club. High school students can participate in hands-on activities, and university faculty serve as mentors for students.
The first meeting on October 11 is free. It’s happening from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Seitz Conference Room inside the Andorfer Commons. The club will continue to meet monthly on Tuesdays, and a meeting fee will be determined, the school said.
Future meeting topics include:
- October 25: Exploring the Innovation Process
- November 1: Exploring Criminal Justice
- November 15: Exploring Biomedical Engineering
- November 29: Exploring STEAM Careers
