GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Bad weather is headed our way – but of course many people still have to travel in these upcoming conditions.
Now, before you go to bed tonight – you’ll want to make sure you have your car ready for the elements tomorrow.
We’ve had a few tastes of winter so far – but this is our first widespread storm to come through
We spoke to automotive experts at NWTC’s Green Bay campus.
They work on cars around the clock and are familiar with making sure we take proper care of our vehicles so they are ready to take us safely to our destinations.
Brent Westlund has nearly 20 years of automotive experience in the salt belt states of the Midwest and beyond.
He says there are a few things you want to make sure are ready to go when you head out the door in inclement weather: “Windscreen wipers are a key item. Tires are another very big item at the moment, we want to make sure we have a really good tread depth in your tyres. You don’t want to end up sliding down the road and everything like that. And along with tread depth, I’d say tire pressure is another big thing as well.”
Stay with us on air and online for the latest.
We will continue to update you as this wintry weather continues to develop throughout the evening.
