In the living space, Econdium Design owner and interior designer Adriana Bland predicts that natural woods will continue, paired with other natural materials like stone and accent pieces like coffee tables and end tables in both home improvements.

Arches are a new trend for rounded door frames, ceilings, shelves and interior parts such as arched mirrors.

Next, we enter the most popular part of the house, the kitchen. Every five to eight years, kitchens go from light to dark colors and back. In 2023 you will see more walnuts and blacks.

Finally, for new furniture four to eight months out, consumers tend to choose thrift or vintage items that have a similar feel and are readily available.

Moving on to fascinators, we see hair fascinators in ponytails and braids. Also expect to see high tousled hair. Unlike the 2000s curly hairstyles, this style has naturally wavy hair.

Now for hair color, colorists continue to use warm golden tones with an emphasis on brunette color. Finally, the mid section may be on the way out as the side section is back with 90s layers.

Let’s jump into the fashion scene and break down the Spring 2023 runway collections.

Models are set to walk the shows still rocking the relaxed trend of oversized/loose jeans and umbrellas.

Maxi dresses are also making a comeback. Sheer can be worn in different layers like long sleeves paired with another solid silk crop top.

Finally, the feminine renaissance of flared sleeves was reintroduced a few years ago and continues with tops and dresses. This is often recycled in the fashion years of the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s; Brands now look to different time periods for inspiration, like the Edwardian era.

Finally, we’ll end with wellness trends because #NewYearNewMe always pops up in January.

A survey conducted by the American Osteopathic Association found that 86 percent of Americans take some type of dietary supplement, and vitamin and supplement use is highest. Some brands are trying to move away from gum and pills to foods that contain daily supplements like truffles, bars or drinks.

On the topic of beverages, the energy drink sector is moving toward healthier options with ingredients like reishi mushroom, matcha green tea, and green coffee. Even the wine and spirits category has followed the same path, making the alcoholic beverages inferior to alcohol or fizzy options.
