Thank God for Rochester.
Or at least their airport.

On Saturday, Christmas Eve, the Buffalo Bills (12-3) received an early gift: the 2022 AFC East title.
The Bills defeated the Chicago Bears (3-12). The celebrations of the 35-13 win didn’t last long… or maybe they lasted all night.
That’s because the team had to change their travel plans after the Buffalo airport ended up being closed until 11 a.m. Monday due to the weather. The bills were blocked in Chicago at least until Sunday.
While the Buffalo airport was closed, coach Sean McDermott revealed that Rochester became the team’s new destination.
“Everyone’s health and safety is of the utmost importance,” McDermott said via video conference. “I mean, yeah, it’s a shame we can’t go home, but there are a lot of people who have it a lot worse than us out there, including some people who are going home right now.”
In an effort to return home for the holidays, the Bills moved their travel plans. Their new flight was Chicago to Rochester and then a trip home… pending the lifting of travel bans on driving.
