Lonely Planet published “Best in Travel 2023“, which offers a diverse range of destinations to satisfy every traveller’s sense of lust.
From Boise to Bhutan, the list spans 30 destinations around the world, and each country comes with curated itineraries shaped by the perspectives of local experts.
TOP 10 TRAVEL MUST HAVES, ACCORDING TO THE EXPERTS
“We really try to think of this list as a series of destinations to consider, places you might not have considered for reasons you might not have considered, but really told through the voice of the people locals and the local expertise that call the places home,” said Nitya Chambers, senior VP and spokesperson for Lonely Planet.
For example, a one-week itinerary for a trip to Alaska weave together local native landscapes and culture, according to Chambers.
For people wondering where trip in the new year, Chambers recommends asking yourself an important question: What are the things that your heart won’t rest on until you see and experience them?
“There’s a sense of looking really deep inside yourself to figure out the things you really want to see — that you know will restore you, that you know will give you a greater sense of connection and appreciation for the life you live every day – so you can take something from that experience with you that gives you a sense of peace,” she said.
