Sydney start foodini, Helping diners find restaurants that meet their dietary needs; It has raised $700,000 in pre-seed funding.
Early-stage VC Antler led the round, with participation from 10 other investors, including Mendoza Ventures CFO Scott Hayes, Cradle Ventures CIO Robert Nichols and Mad Paws CEO Justus Hammer.

Launched in June 2021 in Sydney – before the NSW capital’s 100-day lockdown, Foodini has spent 12 months since the city reopened strong links with more than 2000 restaurants featured in the app. It is currently launching in Melbourne and plans to expand to Brisbane and the rest of Australia later this year.

of Foodini App matches restaurants with a variety of dietary needs, from gluten-free to lactose-intolerant, allergic, vegans, FODMApers and more. Dietitians combine with platform technology to review restaurants and menus to describe what to eat at each location.

Users can easily create a profile that describes their specific interests to match restaurants, cafes, and other places in a specific location, and show them exactly what they’ll eat when they get there.
