Road reconstruction begins on October 14
Do you travel near Quebec and C-470 in Highlands Ranch? We want you to know that we are planning road construction along Business Center Drive the week of Douglas County School District’s fall break, October 14-23.
Business Center Drive, between Quebec Street and Poplar Way, is being reconstructed to repair freezer damage. Phase 2, which will be the middle section of the route, will start at 19:00 on Friday, October 14 and is expected to finish by 19:00 on Sunday, October 23.
One lane in each direction and business access will remain open, however left turns will not be allowed because the median will be closed. Delays are expected.
What to expect during construction:
- Delays due to single lane closures and signalling
- Flaggers directing and stopping traffic
- Movable work areas with flashing arrow signs
- Big trucks on the road.
Work is being planned over the autumn holidays as this road is the only access to Sky View Academy. However, cold or wet weather can affect construction schedules. Stay up to date by signing up for email at douglas.co.us. Scroll down and click “Register Now”. Select “Work in cone/road area”.
This construction phase is expected to last about a week. Phase 1 of the project took place on the north side of the road last year. Phase 3 will occur after school ends for the summer of 2023.
