(CNN) – Real diamonds should not float in water. But this brilliant new superyacht concept with an on-board cinema, helipad and three built-in swimming pools is definitely an exception to the rule.
Designed by Italian studio Gabriele Teruzzi Yachts & Design, the Stella del Sud concept was inspired by the famous 128-carat Cartier diamond from which it takes its name.
The new renderings of the 110-meter (360-foot) vessel show off its elegant and sharp lines, which resemble the shape of a diamond, as well as a “spectacular side window glass design that connects all decks.”

The ship’s endless glass panels are positioned to reflect light, ensuring it shines continuously.
On board, the superyacht will feature a long prow that holds a helipad, as well as a private lounge area with L-shaped sofas that is ideal for entertaining guests.
The main deck has room for eight VIP staterooms, a gym and a piano lounge area with views out that impressive side window.

A luxury outdoor beach club, which happens to be based in the Royal Palace of Caserta, a former royal residence in southern Italy created by Bourbon King Charles III as a rival to Versailles, is among its many standout features.
The expansive area includes three pools connected at different levels, creating what Teruzi describes as a “waterfall effect.”
Unparalleled views

The ship features a main saloon with panoramic windows that feature “rain effect” lighting at night.

According to the design team, the ship’s split levels have been “strategically designed” to offer passengers an unparalleled view of the sea from the main salon, surrounded by large panoramic windows that display “rain effect” lighting at night.
There’s also a 3,500-square-foot sundeck with a lounge area, a hot tub, and an alfresco dining space with a round table.

The owner’s cabin has an aquarium built into the ceiling above the bed.

You’d expect an opulent owner’s suite on a superyacht as opulent as this, and Stella del Sud does not disappoint.
Taking up most of the bridge deck, she comes with his and hers bathrooms, walk-in closets and a salt wall, but the highlight here is definitely the aquarium that’s installed on the ceiling above the berth.
Time to shine?

There is also added entertainment in the form of a cinema, which will be erected on the deck of the collection boxes to take advantage of the dark environment and ensure the best possible viewing experience on board.
Meanwhile, both sides of the hull are equipped with two shell doors that open onto two separate 30 square meter terraces.

Stella del Sud remains just a concept for now, but will this “shining diamond” get a chance to shine on the water in the not-too-distant future?
The team at Gabriele Teruzzi Yachts & Design has been tight-lipped about any further developments with the design, but it’s certainly attracting a lot of attention.
Stella del Sud is one of several exciting new superyachts to be unveiled in recent weeks, including the nature-focused Symbiosis from Swiss design studio Kurt Merki, which features decks full of greenery and the 60-metre Geko 60 Franco Gnessi & Partners, which resembles a Japanese shrine.
