Crystal Cruises named Silversea alum Matias Lira senior vice president of global sales and guest services.
Lira, who was most recently vice president of passenger services and consumer sales for Silversea, will be based in Miami.

Lira has held positions on the consumer sales side of Silversea since 2014. Prior to that, he worked in both direct consumer sales and onboard with Norwegian Cruise Line, where he was room service supervisor and restaurant manager.

According to A&K, the ships are expected to return to service in 2023 after undergoing an extensive refurbishment. Lira said he plans to work with operations “to bring back the personalized service that built Crystal Cruises’ reputation in an even more elevated form.
