Dua Lipa’s New Year’s look exemplifies why she’s one of 2022’s biggest style stars.

To ring in the New Year at a private party with friends, the pop star opted for a glittery look from Ludovic de Saint Cernin’s Spring 2023 collection that captures the eye of the emerging underwear trend.
Lipa wore an iridescent, crystal-encrusted mini dress—a high, side-swept neckline, a backless silhouette with criss-cross straps, and an asymmetrical hem—with a bright white sweater cut out at the back of the dress. She completed her look with over-the-knee, pointed-toe boots in a bright magenta shade, as well as accessories including a diamond tennis bracelet and star-shaped chandelier earrings.
As for her beauty look, the star wore matching eyeshadow, shimmery highlighter, red blush and a dark nude lip with her hair pulled back in a high ponytail.
“2023 ~ Happy New Year ~ Wishing you peace, love, health and happiness,” she captioned the post.
The “Levitating” singer shared her experimental street looks throughout the year, as she pushed the boundaries of both sartorial norms and celebrity-favorite trends in a bold leather crop top, cartoonish mesh skirt, studded UGGs and denim pantaboots.

“I’ve never wanted to put myself in a box and say, ‘This is my style and these are my style staples.’ I like to experiment and play,” she said. “It’s like music: the sound does not include only the face of the artist. And the artist must wear the clothes, not the other way around. Fashion cannot be forced.”
