Every Revolution Starts with a Question
For Taral Shah, founder of Career Space education, that question echoed through lecture halls as students sat, keen but uncertain, puzzles in their eyes and hopes in their hearts.
Taral, an educator with eleven years of experience, didn’t see mathematics as a subject of fear. He saw it as a playground for curiosity, possibility, and growth. After guiding adult learners and postgraduate students past their doubts, Taral knew many needed more than subject knowledge — they needed a clear sense of direction in life.
Meet the Founder: Taral Shah
Taral Shah brings an infectious energy to every role. He’s been an Assistant Professor of Mathematics, a teacher trainer, a guest lecturer, and even a stand-up comedy aficionado.
His Career Space education started with teaching math, but quickly branched out — running hands-on workshops, designing inquiry-based teacher training, and sparking critical conversations with youth.
Certified by the Government of India as a career counselor and teacher trainer, he has trained around 600–700 unique teachers who collectively hold over 1,000 years of classroom experience. His work touches not just students, but also the educators shaping India’s future.
The Spark: Conceiving Career Space
Career Space education was born in response to a recurring student dilemma: “What path should I take?”
Taral helped students discover their career DNA. Soon, he realized teachers too required support and new methods. This insight led to transforming classrooms through context-driven, inquiry-based workshops, where learning is built on questions instead of rote answers.
Another roadblock soon appeared: math phobia. Many students shied away from numbers, wary of what seemed impossible. That challenge motivated Taral to create Count Space — hands-on workshops that replace fear with fascination and anger with amusement.
Career Space education organically grew as Taral pieced together these individual journeys — career guidance, teacher empowerment, and math workshops — into an ecosystem anchoring learning in curiosity.
Career Space: What Sets It Apart
Unlike platforms that focus narrowly on exams or generic content, Career Space education treats learning as a process that begins with a question. It supports three key audiences:
Count Space (Math Café): Builds mathematical thinking by doing — exploration, questioning, and problem-solving replace rote learning.
Quest Space (Teacher Training): Equips educators with inquiry-based methods and tools, transforming classrooms into investigative spaces.
Path Space (Career Counseling): Provides assessments and personalized counseling to help students uncover strengths and career directions.
Career Space education measures success not just by grades, but by confidence, curiosity, and growth.
Challenges Faced and Overcome
Marketing and reach have been persistent hurdles, forcing Taral to refine strategy and sharpen branding. Relaunching with clearer sub-brands — Count Space, Quest Space, Path Space — helped clarify the mission.
Though there were nights when quitting seemed easier, Taral viewed his startup as more than a business. To him, it was a child worth persevering for.
Busting Myths
Career Space education challenges the misconception that education is only about finding “right answers.” True learning is sparked by questions, context, and clarity.
Taral and his team believe meaningful education equips learners with curiosity and confidence that extend beyond school.
Milestones and Achievements
Trained 600–700 teachers with a combined 1,000+ years of classroom experience.
Reached 800+ students through workshops, helping them shed fear and embrace mathematics with curiosity.
The Vision for the Future
Career Space education envisions learning ecosystems that transform classrooms into hubs of curiosity and context. Over the next five years, it aims to expand across India and beyond — reshaping conversations about education by putting questioning at its core.
Tackling Market Gaps
Count Space: Helps students overcome math fear by making numbers approachable and engaging.

Advice to Entrepreneurs
