One after another, North America’s largest technology companies have announced thousands of job cuts. Canadian technology services firm CGI Inc says it is not even considering following their lead.
CGI saw its payroll grow by 10% last year, to 90,250 people worldwide. But layoffs are not on the agenda as the company, which provides IT services and outsourcing consulting, tries to win contracts from organizations that are downsizing, Chief Executive George Schindler said in an interview.
