A California proposal to require companies to report when they change search results or use their services to target people with political ads is among pending legislation in the final days of the state’s legislative session.
The measure (SB 746) aims to give voters a way to know when the sites they use are trying to change their opinions about candidates or issues. He would mandate disclosure to the Secretary of State.
