From looking for employment opportunities to opening employment opportunities, a group of IIM graduates went on to make it big. Not many years ago in IIM Ranchi’s Khelgaon hostel room, couple of friends, just into their usual chat, were worriedly discussing the difficulty many of their friends and juniors were facing with placements preparation and corporate readiness and wondered how to solve this burning problem which plagued most students in our country.
The question of how to bridge the gap between Campus and Corporate, develop skill sets in the right manner and get the students ready for placements. These grads from IIM Ranchi envisioned the plan for an initiative that could address the problem, not just limited to their circle, but the society at large. Not much later, with the support of Professors and Corporate connections gave birth to Phoenix Global. Little did they know then that this very initiative would become a Forbes featured million-dollar initiative very soon!
Phoenix Global is a skill-development platform that helps students acquire and master professional and soft skills as per the requirements of the industry benchmarked to the world’s top firms, trained by top class industry professionals. It is one of India’s firsts to have Industry professionals with esteemed alma mater including the IITs and IIMs to mentor students on the cutting-edge skills, critical to the emerging industries while also allowing them to intern on a project under the mentorship of industry professionals from the IITs /IIMs.

Phoenix recently achieved a valuation of USD $1,000,000 and raised a pre-series A funding of USD $150,000 as an investment towards their upcoming planned initiatives including Phoenix Digital, the integrated skill development application.
