Remember the patchwork fad that flooded your Instagram and Pinterest feeds in early summer 2020? Before modern fast fashion brands tired of the trend, it could be seen in its 2003 debut on actress Bai Ling. Movie “Cold Creek Manor.”
Ling – A staple of red carpets in the early 2000s – she frequently found herself on tabloid “best dressed” lists, but soon the fashion community admitted that sometimes those “bad” outfits were, well, actually worth revisiting. . Case in point: her first glimpse of “Cold Creek Manor.”
Ling wore a color-blocked wrap dress reminiscent of a multicolored sherbert with blue snakeskin heels and a lime green, sequin-studded mini bag. The pastel chiffon of her dress definitely doesn’t match the glamor of the glamorous film set – which is why it’s the perfect outfit to add to Ling’s list of unapologetic fashion moments.

With her more obscure and understated fashion decisions, Ling has shown that she plays by her own rules, and no amount of criticism can change that.
