Bayonet Entertainment Department has announced registration for its inaugural Fashion Design Camp. The program is open to residents only, 6th through 8th grade.
Fashion Design Camp covers learning the tools of the trade, clothing history, color theory, sneaker design, design principles, hand sewing techniques, and the use of advanced technology tools. The program is run by Leah Jason, who teaches Costume Design I & II at Bayonne High School.
Entertainment Supervisor Pete Amadeo said, “We are excited for this new program! “We have a great teacher with Leah Jason and we are excited to have a new opportunity for our young people.”
Camp runs for two weeks: August 1 to August 12, Monday through Friday. There will be two sessions to choose from: 9 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 3:30 p.m.
The cost of the camp is $50 per participant. There are a limited number of 24 spots available for this program.
