Merida Yucatan became one of the venues for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Mexican talent gathers here to showcase their designs in a competitive world of fashion.

Alexia Ulibarri
Presenting a collection full of color, texture and sparkle, Alexia Ulibarri was responsible for bringing us to Merida a collection of designs with glitter, some punk rock designs and colors like electric blue and carmine red.
The runway was filled with lace, sheer and lots of flowers! A very strong trend for 2023, we can see denim clothes.
Abel Lopez
Fashion house Abel López presents a collection dedicated to the fishing village of northwest Italy: Portofino.
For this collection, the Tapatio designer was inspired by the pastel colored buildings of the harbor, unforgettable natural landscapes, cobbled streets, raw materials in the warehouse and a coastal atmosphere reflected in each garment, where light and versatile fabrics. Cotton, silk and linen are dominant.
The designer chose maxi-silhouettes with ovoid sleeves and deep cuffs; He also painted column dresses with trailelbindes wings, urban pieces that take us back to the 90s, polka dots on a black background and raincoats in different contexts. We saw beautiful pieces with defined lines and lines that accentuate femininity.
Francisco Cancino
This brand works to convey the personality of today’s women through a living and growing cultural heritage. In each piece there are Mexican colors, traditions and culture, which are attached to noble and organic materials that turn into sophisticated images.
Francisco Cansino has developed his own weaving techniques, where each stitch expresses Mexico’s past, combined with artistic processes, which points to the future of fashion.

Vero Diaz
“La Posta” is the Spring-Summer 2023 collection presented by Vero Diaz at the fashion show. Each of her collections was born to express her vision of fashion, which empowers women by conveying their femininity, beauty and modernity.
In this show, the designer returns to her yukata roots and combines them with other cultures. The result is a variety of clothing filled with colors, textures and artistry with modern and contemporary touches.

Daniel Heranz-Zurse
Daniel Herranz is a designer in Mexico City who, after a long career in the art world, created the brand Zursen in 2021 with a modern and practical approach.
For this event, his sample offers images that obey the logic of pure beauty and logic, a deconstruction of classic tailored pieces such as jackets and shirts. On the other hand, it presents a soft section made up of Bermuda shorts, vests and cargo pants, where “cut” pants, collars and flared sleeves stand out.
The dominant textures in this Youth Spirit collection are: crochet, suede, velvet, wool and sequins.

The Mexican edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week takes place in Merida in cultural tourism sites such as Casa Faller, Museo Casa El Pinar and Hacienda Misné. All the places full of culture and luxury started this November 24th.
